Positive Tracks has granted The Dempsey Center a $100,000 matching challenge grant to double the dollars Dempsey Challenge youth participants raise for The Dempsey Center through the Dempsey Challenge and independent fundraising efforts! It’s fundraising that’s twice and nice!
Here’s the kicker: It can be a challenge to line up on a starting line, let alone raise money for a charity. Plus, it takes creativity. Generation 23-and-Under is throwing fashion shows made out of recycled materials; they’re designing jewelry and selling pesto; organizing tennis tournaments, Cupcake Warz, Battle of the Bands, and good ole’ fashioned bake sales. Dempsey Challenge youth participants are using their own power to make The Dempsey Center awesome!
And Positive Tracks is doubling their impact. Plus, hands-on support and guidance from fundraising coordinator Tish Caldwell (e-mail) makes a big difference in getting kids motivated and moving on their own terms and turf.
