Festival in the Park On Saturday, Oct. 2 and Sunday, Oct. 3, The Dempsey Challenge presented by Amgen will host the Festival in the Park, located at Simard-Payne Police Memorial Park in Lewiston.  The Festival is free to the public and will feature a Health & Wellness Expo, themed Cancer Prevention and Early Detection, which will include interactive displays on nutrition, physical activity and tobacco, along with health screenings and more. In addition, the Festival will include an array of vendors and family-friendly activities, including post-event hospitality for participants, live music, entertainment and an art workshop. The Breakaway from Cancer Survivor Walk, also part of the Festival, will take place at approximately 3:30 p.m.  Cancer survivors, caregivers and others affected by cancer are welcome to join in the walk. An entertainment schedule will be posted by September 1.
