Day One: The Dempsey Challenge presented by Amgen at Simard-Payne Police Memorial Park

6 – 7:30 a.m.
Packet pick up at Simard-Payne Police Memorial Park for runners and walkers only

8 a.m.
10K Run/Walk followed by 5K Run/Walk presented by L.L.Bean

10:30 a.m.
Kids’ Fun Run presented by Hannaford

11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Packet pick up at Simard-Payne Police Memorial Park for cyclists

8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Festival in the Park including Health and Wellness Expo, Vendor Fair, KidZone, 5 & 10K Café (participants only), Food Court, Spirit of Hope tent, Dempsey Center Mission tent, live entertainment, health screenings and more.

1 p.m. - 2 p.m.
"Looking for Laughter" A special event for cancer survivors with cancer survivor, comedian, author and world-class juggler Scott Burton at the Public Theater, 31 Maple Street, Lewiston. More Information

5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
VIP Reception and Champions for Hope Banquet and silent auction (Invitation-only, based on fundraising and sponsorship levels)

Taste of Maine Celebration at participating Lewiston/Auburn restaurants

Sunday, October 3

Day Two: The Dempsey Challenge presented by Amgen at Simard-Payne Police Memorial Park

5:30 a.m. - 7 a.m.
Packet pick up at Simard-Payne Police Memorial Park

7:30 a.m.
100-mile cycle group is released followed by 50-mile, 25-mile and 10-mile groups

8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Festival in the Park including Health and Wellness Expo, Vendor Fair, KidZone, Food Court, Spirit of Hope tent, Dempsey Mission tent, live entertainment, Lobster Trap (participants only), health screenings, Amgen Breakaway from Cancer Survivor Walk.

3:30 p.m.
Amgen Breakaway from Cancer Survivor Walk followed by closing ceremonies
